Halo's Meet Up

We're on the hunt for the best talent to join our fabulous team, and now it's your moment to dazzle us! Our meet up is the final fun step in our interview process—a chance for you to showcase your amazing technical skills and how you interact with clients.

About 3 Hours
The meet up typically takes around 2 to 3 hours. Trust us, time flies when you're doing what you love!
 

Show Off Your Skills
This is your chance to wow us with your creativity and expertise. We typically like to see you doing a cut and colour. Ideally we would like you to bring your own model.

You will be asked to preform one or more of the following tasks.

Personal Kit

Bring your own scissors and any other specialist tools you require.

Cut & Restyle

IMG 4159

Demonstrate your technical ability with a cut or restyle. You will be asked to deliver a classic well- known style that assess your skill in judging hair type, head shape, and executing precise cuts.

Long Hair Styling

Display your versatility by creating a trendy, wearable long hair look. You might be asked for a blow-dry or an updo, so be prepared to impress with on-trend styles.

Colour Technique

Perform one of a number of possible colour techniques. Provide a thorough consultation, make appropriate colour choices, and demonstrate excellent application skills. Stay current with the latest trends to avoid dated looks. All models will have been previous patch and strand tested.

We will be paying close attention to how you handle the soft skills too.

Consultation

Conduct a thorough consultation with your model. This step shows your ability to understand client needs and set realistic goals.

Technical Skills Discussion

Be ready to discuss the technical aspects of your work. Explain your decisions and answer questions about the cut and colour techniques you are using.

Customer Care

Demonstrate your understanding of customer care through your interactions with the model and salon staff. Have a clear idea of your customer care philosophy and how it aligns with the salon’s policies.

Product Knowledge

Familiarise yourself Halo’s Schwarzkopf’s product range. If you don’t already use those products, research them beforehand to answer questions confidently.
